Stupid Scanner Tricks

As of late I've been using my scanner more often. I know it's something that i've ignored to a large part when it could've both saved me time and made my final product better. Anyone have any useful techniques or fun tricks that are scanner related? Or is the scanner not even a part of your workflow? Let's hear it in the comments.

don't really use my scanner because its so damn slow! But. I do imagine layering could be much more fun. I've seen something about using the scanner as a camera to take panoramas.. let's see... http://webspace.ringling.edu/~staft/scancam.html. it's pretty wicked.

btw collaborators, I'm still looking to do a portraiture photoshoot. I'm thinking about how this can be a collaborative piece but for now, I'd just like to take photos of participants to put in the show along with a bio/artist statement.

i started using the scanner more this year after seeing adam do stuff with his work. i have yet to experiment with the whole moving the object while scanning the technique. i'm sure there is something extra cooler coming out of it if i get the scanning technique just right.
